The government of Kaduna State has finalized plan to issue permit to any person who plans to live or stay in the state for up to 180 days. This permit has been labelled residency permit but if I may ask, what is the difference between a visa on arrival and the so called residency permit?
I am certain that there is no way Kaduna government can issue permit to all the visitors to that state including beggers, construction workers and students without raising some dust. Secondly we need to find out if the said permit is even constitutional.
There is no doubt that the government is using this guise to dip hand into people's pockets.
