Many will be glad for no good reason
They will think the man is over paid
Some will say its a sign of healthy democracy
Others will celebrate a chance to replace him
A few will investigate and think
The recall process may have been financed
The signatures may have been forged or coerced
The recalled Senator will mourn for no good reason
The thugs and clout will all desert him
His savings will be spent bribing judges
He can find no job as lucrative as senator
Not with his certificate that is under microscope
A few will stick around him to drink
Until his savings is finally exhausted and he is in debt
The other senators will mourn for no good reason
They will know that a new weapon have been tried
Absence of that senator will amuse them in bad way
money will be wasted fighting governors or cronies
Some will demand more money for such fights
A few will seize the opportunity to think deeply
And choose to leave a lasting legacy instead
