Again Nigerian football federation has exhibited deception and unconventional patronizing attitude to the Super Eagles team. The sum of 10 Million Naira donated to the team as encouragement was collected by the sports officials and distributed as camp allowance. It means that if the money was not donated they would have been owed march allowance for ages. These people are adults with families and continued tinkering with donated money is going to discourage individuals and cooperate bodies from from sponsoring Super Eagles as a team. Impunity is the common denominator in all aspects of human lives in Nigeria. The President disobeys court orders, EFCC detain people that have met bail condition and list goes on and on. The Minister of sports is busy declaring state of emergency on sports and he cannot pay camp allowances. If we must make progress, the poor and vulnerable must be paid their stipends before the rich.
