After his visit to Obasanjo where they described PDP, as a dying baby about to be buried, Ali Modu Sheriff was left more confused than he was before he embarked on the journey. It seems that Obasanjo convinced him that PDP was dead and that he was fighting over the chairmanship of a dead party. Ali Modu Sheriff was more than very happy to go ahead and dig a grave for PDP, mission accomplished. That was what he wanted all along. Unfortunately Obasanjo came out and tossed Sheriff's political career into the pit. In deed Sheriff is still trying to understand what happened in Obasanjo's house. Obasanjo is known to regard PDP as his pet therefore he openly told Sheriff that a strong opposition is needed as well as a strong ruling party. Indirectly he told Sheriff to do the needful and allow PDP grow. He also said APC is not a strong party either and this democracy must not be derailed. Sheriff smiled and left but something is telling Sheriff that he may soon join Obasanjo in full time retirement. He had better learn how to write letters.
