Some Nigerians on Twitter are debating whether anyone has taken time to educate Nigeria's minister of Transport on the meaning of recession. Amechi inadvertently exposed his limited expertise when he said that there was recession during Jonathan's tenure but Okonjo Iweala begged him to keep it a secret. People have asked the question Can one person hide a recession. At the moment, Nigeria is in recession and I hope Amechi is not trying to hide it rather than digging us out of it.
