HUMAN BEHAVIOR ACCORDING TO NATIONALITY

Nationality and Characters
One day the manager of a multi-national company decided to evaluate the resourcefulness of his employees. The company had a waiting room, with a television facing the clients who are waiting to be attended to.
He asked a Chinese to move the television to the back of the company waiting room.   The Chinese immediately moved the television. He asked him to take it back to the front and he took it back and left.
He called a Pakistan Man, asked him to move the same television. The Pakistani picked up the television, along the line he said “Our clients may miss their afternoon prayers if this television is relocated” He was asked to put it back. He put it back and left.
The manager called an American and gave the same command.  The man did not touch the television, he asked “why do you want  me to move this television? Don’t you know that moving it will affect our American guests, They will not be able to watch CNN to know what is going on in the country. He was asked to leave it.
A Jamaican man was called and asked to move the television, He said “ I beg your pardon, how are we going to entertain our visitors effectively from behind. Please Sir think about it again” he was asked to leave it.
An Indian was asked to move the same television to the back.  He picked it up fast and moved it to the back. He said” Please I don’t mind being promoted so I will be in charge of moving television and other things. He was asked to take it back. He took it back and left
A British man was asked to move the television to the back. He picked up the television and said “If that is the decision of the management I will do just that” he was asked to put it back. He put it back and left.
A Nigerian was called and asked to move a television. He said “Manager with all due respect, moving television is not part of my work  here but if I have to move it, I will move it, but remember, If I scratch your back, you should also scratch mine. He was asked to put it back.
Finally the last man in the office was called and told to move the television to the back of the waiting room. He said “Please I will like to know how the relocation of this television will affect the productivity and progress of this company. Only then will I be able to tell whether I have achieved anything by carrying out your instruction or not.”
The manager was very pleased with the last man.
