The leader of the so called Arewa youth coalition that ordered Igbos to leave Northern Nigeria and specifically strategized to confiscate their properties, is now dancing and singing another tune. Worthy of note is that at the national scene he has committed a political suicide by championing an unconstitutional speech to punish fellow citizens for remembering their dead.
The latest utterances from this man confirms that he is now saying that his group will no longer punish the Igbos and that they will listen to Ag. President Osibanjo and allow peace to reign. He is however not entirely satisfied because the Ag President did not invite his group to negotiate and talk. He specifically said his group did not want any violence but we all know that the highlight of the declaration had to do with locating and confiscating Igbo properties.
For the upteenth time, Nigerians from all tribes should be educated and told that any time you sell your land and spend the money, you have lost that land for ever. Even if there is war and people run away, after the war people will come back and claim what belongs to them. You may have done otherwise in the past but at this age and time, any land sold to any person is gone for ever.
